While we carefully inspect every product before shipping, we understand that sometimes equipment needs to be returned or exchanged. Our policy is designed with the same attention to detail we apply to our fishing gear selection.

Our Return Policy

You may return most unused items in their original packaging within 15 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange. Some exceptions apply (see below).

Non-Returnable Items

For hygiene and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns on:

  • Personalized or custom-tied flies from our Flies and Fly Tying section
  • Used fishing tackle from Freshwater Terminal Tackle or Saltwater Fishing Tackle categories
  • Opened packages of Fly Line & Tippets or Freshwater Line & Leader
  • Worn apparel or rain gear (unless defective)

Return & Exchange Process

Step 1: Initiate Your Return

Contact our customer service team within 15 days of receiving your order:

Step 2: Receive Return Authorization

Within 2 business days, we’ll email you:

  • Return authorization number
  • Prepaid return label (for defective items)
  • Instructions for packaging your return

Step 3: Ship Your Return

For non-defective returns:

  • Pack items securely in original packaging
  • Include all tags and accessories
  • Affix the provided return label
  • Ship via the carrier specified in your instructions

Note: Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility unless the return is due to our error.

Step 4: Processing Your Return

Once we receive and inspect your return (typically within 5 business days of arrival):

  • For exchanges: We’ll ship your replacement item immediately
  • For refunds: We’ll process your refund within 3 business days

Refund Information

Refunds will be issued to your original payment method:

  • Credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, JCB): 3-10 business days depending on your bank
  • PayPal: 3-5 business days

Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.

Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive damaged or defective fishing gear:

  1. Contact us immediately at [email protected] with photos of the damage
  2. We’ll provide a prepaid return label
  3. Upon receipt, we’ll expedite a replacement or full refund

Angler’s Tip

To ensure your fishing gear arrives in perfect condition, we recommend inspecting your equipment immediately upon delivery. This allows us to quickly address any shipping-related issues.

International Returns

For our international customers (excluding Asia and certain remote regions):

  • Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility
  • Please mark the package as “Returned Goods” to avoid customs fees
  • Original shipping fees and any import duties are non-refundable
